Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a well-known Indian actress who is best known for the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. In the late 80s, she began her acting career, and was popular with the role of Tezaab, in which she starred with an established actor Anil Kapooor. Next, she appeared with Aamir as part of Dil. She was born into an Mumbai middle-class family and started dancing when she was a child. At the age of 16 She began to act and was a victim for a few years as the majority of her films at first were unsuccessful. Her breakthrough came when she finally had success and then was one of the most well-known actors in the Indian film industry. Following her marriage the actress took time away from performing prior to returning. She was a key character in Gulaab Gang, a film that explores the struggles of women in India. Dixit was awarded 8 Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen she was nominated for. Padma Shri is the fourth most prestigious civilian award in India. She is known for her work in the field of social service as well.
