MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin popular music scene is influenced by his international popularity. In 2016, his hit Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in the year 2017. The album he released as his debut ADN came out through La Industria Inc., located in Medellin, a Sony distribution firm. It reached the top 8 spot on the Top Latin Albums Chart. Later in the year, he collaborated with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca and it was which was a Top Five hit. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel on Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina within the year following. In 2021, he performed in a duo with TINI to perform her stream single Maldita Foto. The smash hit La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo was born into an musical family. His younger brother and his mother are also musicians. Interviews with him have described his involvement in music as mandatory. At the age of a young child, he started learning to play saxophone guitar ukulele as well as piano. His first choice of career was to become veterinarian, his brother Julian convinced to him take singing lessons from a Cuban.
